Stellar Horrizon
⭐It's a new modpack with a lot of mods, so expect some bugs / incompatibility while it's not under 1.0. We try to fix them as they appear
Stellar Horizons is the official all-in-one Factorio modpack inspired by Laurence Plays' Planetary Pioneers series. It brings together a wide selection of currently playable planet mods, with plans to add more in the future—always prioritizing save compatibility. This modpack is designed to slow down the early game and significantly extend the endgame, offering a deeper and more challenging Factorio experience.
To achieve this, Stellar Horizons integrates numerous additional mods, including difficulty enhancers like Rampant, while also providing tools and quality-of-life improvements such as Rampant Arsenal to help you along the way. Some mods are optional and can be removed if they are too heavy on UPS or do not fit your playstyle—be sure to check the optional mods, and remember that some must be installed in SH core for full functionality.
This is the first version of the modpack. While I may not have a lot of time to maintain it, I will review merge requests and do my best to fix any bugs that arise. Community feedback and contributions are welcome!
Highlights
Planets
- 🌑 Tenebris – A dark, acidic world shrouded in storms. Features rebalanced biobeacons, PlanetsLib cargo drops, and unique bioluminescent science.
- ⚡ Shattered Planet – A fragmented world locked in an ion storm. Harness asteroid chunks, manage isotopes, and push factory design to its limits.
- 🪐 Secretas & Frozeta – The guardian gas giant and its frozen moon. Navigate deadly asteroid belts, recycle spaceship scrap, and unlock gold-based technologies.
- 🌪️ Rubia – A hurricane-ravaged junk world. Master wind-proof factories, biorecycling chains, and scrap-powered production.
- 🌙 Muluna – Nauvis’ moon. A stepping stone into space with low gravity, crushers, and interstellar science.
- 🔥 Moshine – A hot, metal-rich desert with minimal magnetic shielding. Packed with rare metals and computational challenges.
- ❄️ Paracelsin – A cryogenic zinc world with nitrogen seas, complex refining chains, and new industrial plants.
- 🛰️ Neumann V, Nix, Circa, Mirandus – A derelict platform, resource-rich frozen world, contested ringworld, and debris field with phase-changing quantite. Each offers new sciences and technologies.
- 🌊 Maraxsis – An endless ocean world with submarines, deep trenches, and pressure domes. A true puzzle-planet for creative megabases.
- 🌲 Lignumis – A wooden early-game moon, emphasizing steam and biomass technologies before reaching Nauvis.
- 🔮 Igrys – A barren magical world with glassworking, cermite, and powerful magic-fluid tesseracts.
- ☣️ Tiberium – The classic hazardous crystal world. Harvest, refine, weaponize, and survive spreading alien growth.
- 🧊 Cubium – A cube-born world with ultradense lava, spoilage-based resources, and surreal cube-jelly recipes.
- ⚗️ Corrundum – A high-pressure CO₂ world. Harness chalcopyrite, platinum, and redox-based chemistry chains.
- ❄️ Cerys – A frozen moon of Fulgora, rich in nuclear scrap and ancient ruins buried beneath ice.
- ⚔️ Castra – A battlefield planet with unique resources, military science, and dynamic enemy forces that research and upgrade alongside you.
⚠️ Caution: Rampant significantly increases the challenge compared to vanilla. Expect tougher enemies, more varied attack patterns, and a higher demand on your defenses. Not recommended for first-time Rampant players.
👾 Smarter Enemies
- Rampant Evolution makes alien threats more adaptive: enemies mutate, bypass defenses, and coordinate underground or waterborne assaults.
- Difficulty builds up gradually, but eventually exceeds standard Rampant, requiring constant adaptation and layered defenses.
⚔️ Arsenal Expansion
Expand your firepower with new turrets, artillery, and adaptive defenses, alongside upgraded vehicles, advanced personal equipment, and a wide range of specialized ammo types. Infinite tech upgrades ensure your combat capabilities keep scaling for every stage of the game.
