Crushing Industry
The rock shatters into a thousand pieces as it's ground in the teeth of the machine's gears, and those pieces shatter a thousand times again, until nothing but sand remains. Satisfied, the engineer muscles a larger boulder over the edge. They brace for the report of the gears straining under the load, but nothing but crunching is heard. The maw hungers.
Mechanics
Crushing Industry repurposes the Crusher from Space Age into a new category of machines, which can crush resources for new uses and more productivity.
- Stone can be crushed into sand, which is smelted into glass.
- Coal can be crushed for more efficient use as fuel and as a replacement ingredient in chemistry.
- Ores can be crushed for more productive smelting, yielding more metal per ore.
- (NEW!) Concrete mix is a new fluid made from sand, crushed iron ore, and water.
- On Vulcanus the Big Crusher can be unlocked, with an additional +50% base productivity bonus.
- The vanilla SA Crusher has been reconfigured to the Space Crusher, with a +12.5% base quality bonus and space for even more quality modules.
Compatibility
- Support for BZ Lead, BZ Tin, and BZ Titanium.
- Compatible with AAI Industry.
- Crushing Industry integrates well with S6X's mods, like Iridescent Industry and Voidcraft.
- There is basic Krastorio 2 compatibility, but game balance issues have not been (and likely will not be) addressed. You may want a mod to tweak things, like this one.
