Age of Production
Originally, this mod started as a content mod adding plenty new machines, but some were kinda useless or repetitive... So I started working on something new, a revamp of the mod following my new vision! So, stuff got removed and a lot got added!
Age of Production is now a light Space Age overhaul adding 5 new science packs, expanding every planet (Gleba a bit less than others...) with new rewards and recipe and technology chains, unlocking the AoP buildings that survived being removed for various reasons.
The new science packs and additions, in rough planetary order, are:
Nauvis and Space; the Fission Science Pack:
- Upon getting into space for the first time and having mined uranium, you will unlock, with Productivity and Space Sciences, the Radiation cladding recipe. With it you will unlock the path to unlock Uranium-233 and, juggling the cladding and new isotopes between Nauvis and Space, you'll craft the new Fission Science Pack.
- ALL nuclear tech will be locked behind the new Science pack, basically locking Nuclear Power to the Spage Stage. Hopefully you'll be able to overcome the challenge.
- Alongside that, you'll get access to the Atomic Enricher, an upgraded centrifuge capable of doing some new recipes and the transmitter, a smaller beacon.
Vulcanus; the Thermal Science Pack:
- On Vulcanus, during progression you will unlock the ability to smelt calcite into quicklime. This new intermediate will be used in the crafting of the Big Mining Drill and...
- The Arc Furnace! This new furnace unlocked during progression on Vulcanus will allow you to smelt things way faster and with a 50% productivity bonus.
- The staggering heat produced in it will allow you to heat up tungsten plates, now essential to craft the Metallurgic Science Pack and also allow you to heat up the new Thermal Science Pack, needed to use it in labs! Hot tungsten plates will also be used to craft artillery shells!
- The Thermal Science Pack will lock behind itself Artillery, Asteroid Reprocessing, Cliff Explosives and Rail Support Foundations, alongside the new unlocks of the Armory, capable of crafting ammunition with a productivity bonus and the explosives from quicklime recipe!
Fulgora; the Petrochemical Science Pack:
- On Fulgora, you will make use of the infinite oil on the surface of the planet. After recycling for the first time you'll unlock access to the recipe for bitumen, made from the local heavy oil and stone from recycling. With it, gain access to the Petrochemical Facility, an upgraded oil refinery, and rubber sheets.
- Bitumen and rubber sheets will be essential towards crafting superconductors and supercapacitors and, obviously, fundamental towards crafting the new Petrochemical Science Pack.
- The pack will lock Quality Module 3s and Rail Support Foundations behind itself, alongside the new Salvager, a quality-cented recycler upgrade, the Advanced Assembling Machine, a fourth tier of assemblers, and asphalt, a new tile that lets vehicles move way faster.
Gleba; the Forestry Science Pack and Biocircuits:
- While Gleba-themed, these new processes will be mostly ran on Nauvis. When unlocking Tree Seeding you will also gain access to wood planks. After crafting enough you'll gain access to the Lumber Mill, a woodworking based building that will help in wood-related shenanigans. Upon placing it you'll unlock the Forestry Science Pack.
- The new pack will lock Fish Breeding behind itself and give you access to Biomass and the Biomass Reactor, a less effect but more resistant alternative to nutrients and a power generator that runs on biomatter.
- Alongside these, you'll also gain access to Biocircuits, the new requirement for Biter captivity. On Gleba, using imported wood planks, you'll be able to craft Growing Biocircuits, living electronic chips that will grow into finished forms after 10 minutes. Through them, you'll unlock the new Greenhouse, allowing easier handling of tree and Gleban crops farming, and access to all Biter Captivity tech, which will make plenty of use out of the new intermediate.
Aquilo and Deep Space; the Quantistic Science Pack:
- Upon obtaining lithium for the first time, alongside the Cryogenic Plant you will unlock the Hydraulic Plant, a machine that focuses on fluid based crafting. With it you'll unlock the Ammoniacal Solution Sifting recipe.
- By sifting through the planet's Ammoniacal Ocean, you'll obtain Metallic Traces. When enough are crafted you'll unlock the Synthesizer, capable of turning the traces into iron or copper ore, using an already existing ore as catalyst, alongside other synthesis recipes.
- After obtaining the Synthesizer and Cryogenic Science you'll be able to unlock Water Rectification. Using hot fluoroketone and water in a Cryo plant will allow you to access Deuterium and, more rarely, Tritium. Upon obtaining your first Tritium atom you'll unlock the ability to synthesize the isotope, using lithium, uranium 233, deuterium and fluoroketone as coolant.
- Deuterium and Tritium wil be essential in the slightly revamped Fusion Reactor technology, with the machines requiring Radiation Cladding and Power Cells requiring deuterium and tritium alongside the usual ingredients.
- After Fusion Power, you'll be able to unlock the Quantistic Science Pack, using Quantum Processors, LDS and Fusion Power Cells to be crafted. This secondary final science pack will allow you to access the two final additions made by Age of Production.
- First there's Core Mining, by using tons of resources you'll be able to build one single Core Miner on every suitable Planet. With these you'll gain access to basically unlimited resources.
- Then there's Quantum Machinery. By using Promethium Chunks from the farthest expanses of the Calidus System, Tritium and tungsten and lithium plates for containment, you'll be able to craft Unstable Matter. This explosive intermediate will allow the crafting of the three final machines. The Quantum Assebler, a powerful machine capable of crafting all Nauvis Sciences and Space Science with 100% productivity, the Quantum Stabilizer, a massively powerful beacon, and the Quantum Computer, a powerful laboratory that cannot be placed outside of Space.
PLEASE REPORT ANY BUGS YOU FIND
Compat:
- Vanilla Galore Continued and Space Age Galore: Adds support for the recipes added by the mods to my machines.
- 5Dim's mod - New Automatization: Makes crafting prototypes not broken.
- MostPlanets present in this modpack: Fixes progression issues and adds Core Mining to all eligible planets.
- Quality Biolab: Makes Quantum Computer's drain also scale with Quality.
Future Plans:
- Compatibility with other mods.
Buildings on the way:
- No more buildings will be added, ever.
