I’d like to suggest reconsidering the placement of the Automation technologies, particularly Automation 4.
In the current progression, Automation 4 requires the late planetary science packs associated with Arig/Hyarion. This feels somewhat disconnected from the rest of the AngelBob machine progression.
By the time the player is still on Nauvis, many other machines can already reach tier 5, and the ingredients used for Automation 5 also line up naturally with the tier-5 materials that are already available through the Nauvis AngelBob progression.
Because of this, gating Automation 4 behind Hyarion does not feel like Hyarion is providing a new advanced manufacturing upgrade. Instead, it feels like part of the existing AngelBob/Nauvis progression has been delayed until much later.
I think the progression would feel more natural if:
Automation 1–5 remained part of the Nauvis progression.
Automation 6 became the Hyarion reward instead.
Automation 6 seems much better suited to Hyarion’s role as the ultra-advanced manufacturing planet. It would allow the player to complete the normal AngelBob assembler progression on Nauvis, while Hyarion would provide a genuinely new step beyond that progression rather than restoring an earlier tier.
This would also keep the machine tiers more consistent with the material tiers: Nauvis already provides the materials and other machines associated with tier 5, while Hyarion could provide the technology/material requirement that pushes assemblers into tier 6.
Of course, I understand that Automation 4 being placed on Hyarion may be intentional for progression balancing. I just wanted to point out that, from a playthrough perspective, the current placement feels unusually late compared with the rest of the AngelBob machine progression.
Thanks for considering it.
