A full-scale integration overhaul for Angel’s + Bob’s Mods, Factorio: Space Age, Planetaris-arig, Planetaris-hyarion, Paracelsin, Maraxsis and Moon of Nauvis Muluna.

Overview

AngelBob Space Age Rebalance is a large integration and progression overhaul designed to merge the industrial depth of Angel’s and Bob’s Mods with the planetary expansion gameplay introduced in Factorio: Space Age and intergrated with several major community planet mods.

The mod transforms the planets into advanced industrial specialisations, post-industrial expansion layers, and planetary scale optimisation paths.

Main aim is to keep Angel's and Bob's complexity but to have the enjoyment of planetary scale.

Design Philosophy

Nauvis progression is still fundamentally Angel’s and Bob’s, with each planet integrated as a specialised industrial expansion layer.

Major Features

  • Bob’s Alien Science Packs have been fully integrated into the planetary science system, with each alien science pack being merged into a matching planetary progression path such as Hydraulic, Electromagnetic, Metallurgic, Refraction, Cryogenic, and Agricultural science.
  • Removes and rebalances duplicate resource chains across Angel's and Bob's, Space Age, and the supported planet mods. Resources such as tungsten, carbon, glass, silica, quartz, silicon, sulphur, rocket fuels, aluminium, titanium, plastics, and advanced metallurgy have been merged into more unified progression paths. Angel's and Bob's production chains remain the primary progression system, while planetary recipes act as advanced scaling upgrades rather than direct replacements.
  • Foundry has been fully integrated into Angel's and Bob's metallurgy while preserving Angel’s ore refinement depth and molten processing systems. Foundries are designed to improve throughput, productivity, and large-scale metallurgy on Vulcanus without bypassing the complexity of Angel’s smelting and intermediate processing chains.
  • Module progression has been redistributed across the planetary network, with higher module tiers being unlocked through different planets and late-game sciences.
  • Compression systems have been rebalanced to focus on logistics density, throughput, and transport efficiency without bypassing Angel's and Bob's industrial progression.
  • Logistics systems have been balanced across all the different planets.
  • Rocket fuels have been heavily rebalanced to prevent trivial logistics, infinite train efficiency, broken transport economics.
  • Includes multiple compatibility, validation, and safety systems designed to improve long-term mod stability across the entire integration. These systems handle missing prototype validation, duplicate ingredient clean-up, invalid unlock clean-up, recipe migration, technology safety checks, hidden prototype scanning, and Factorio 2.0 compatibility fixes.

This was created as a one-time project and is not intended to become an actively maintained overhaul. Because of this, the mod will most likely not receive ongoing updates, major balance patches, or long-term support for future mod or Factorio updates.
