Hey all

Wasn't happy with Vulcanus being an upgrade from Nauvis, so I've changed a few things. You DO NOT need to restart so don't panic.
So my aim is that Vulcanus is the metallurgic power house. So what's changing?

New Features

• Added a new Vulcanus foundry progression layer.
• Added Vulcanus molten metal production routes using lava, calcite and Angels/Bobs upstream materials.
• Added foundry casting recipes from molten metals into plates, gears, rods, pipes, pipe-to-ground, coils and wires.
• Added support for Angels/Bobs pipe variants in the foundry.
• Added limited Vulcanus recipes so players can establish a Vulcanus base without importing large amounts of ore by rocket.
• Added volcanic mineral residue processing as a Vulcanus-local route into crushed Angels ores.
• Added improved tungsten-focused foundry routes.
• Added new waste product volcanic residue.

Changes:

• Reworked Vulcanus smelting so the foundry now focuses on molten metals rather than replacing Angels/Bobs smelting.
• Moved metal part production into foundry casting routes using molten metals.
• Improved Factoriopedia recipe grouping.
• Kept Vulcanus as an upgrade to Angels/Bobs.

Since the stone byproduct was replaced by the volcanic residue, is there no other way to obtain stone on Vulcanus? I did find a recipe using something called "Geothermal Brine" but no way to mine/make it.

I guess I'll just have to import concrete then.

Use a "Ground water bore" from the "Water treatment" research on Vulcanus to extract "Geothermal brine". It works differently on every planet.

Edit: For Stone, the "Volcanic mineral residue" recipe gains slag. Slag -> crusched stone -> stone -> stone-brick -> concrete

The icon for the slag->crushed stone recipe is a different kind of crushed stone.

or you can get slag by any way you like, and crush it into crushed stone and make stone
