g Walls near water

Hello. So far I'm enjoying this mod, but I've reached an annoyance. When building base defense, there is always shallow water surrounding shore. This prevents me from building walls directly next to deep water. Therefore bitters can always walk into my base in the shallow water.

Is there any solution for this? Thanks

Heya, glad you're enjoying it so far!

Early game your best bet is to use walls and turrets on the fringes of the water to catch them. Turrets with 100/200/500/1000 kills will level up (more damage/range/firerate/hp) so keep them alive when you can.

Then once you get landfill you can fill up to the shallow water to bring your walls to the edge. Landfill is notably cheaper in this mod as it only fills shallow water early game.

The problem I was experiencing wasn't caused by your mod. I was using nicefill mod as well, since I don't like the look of the landfilled tiles. That mod causes that every time I place landfill, it replaces deep water tiles in its surrounding with shallow water tiles.

I actually wasn't expecting that small mod to cause me that issues. I was rather expecting large overhaul would cause this.

Good to hear!

I'm sure there are some optimizations I can do on my side to make it more compatible, as there's quite a few full replacements of tiles, where it is probably better to just do some specific data entry overrides.
