All The Overhauls Modpack | SE + K2 + 248k + BZ + 5Dim + More

This modpack is meant for those players who are looking for a real challenge. Lots of intermediates and resources to find and process. Big logistics problems that you will need to solve to tame the beast that is this modpack. This modpack will take a while to complete, so be ready for the long haul.

i Thermochemical separator should not allow efficiency

I'm never sure if these issues are ATOM based or existed in the mods the parts came from. But this absolutely should not accept effeciency. Arguably shouldn't respond to beacons, though if it only respected broadcast speed it it probably okay.

It is very easy to get this thing going at -80% energy cost and +500% speed. In fairness, energy is rather meh, but still, this thing could create 1000s of % of free energy. The loop may even be closable with matter synthesis, though it would be a bit convoluted. Perhaps more to the point, it is easy to bring the factorio fluid system to its knees while running off a single fission powerplant.

I'd say lose the modules, but speed modules are actually an interesting problem to solve, as you have to be clever how you use them since heat flows with resistance, and you can't have your reactors an arbitrary distance from the machine.

This entity and all the relevant stats are straight from 248k, so you should take this to their section of the mod portal.

Thanks for the clarification. I have looked on the portal - largely to see what is written on the box, so to speak. I think it IS an issue with quality and SA and so I will make a less certain post there, but if we ignore quality, then it only becomes a problem here because of the SE modules, and in particular the very high effectiveness of high tier efficiency modules.

I gotta admit, if it takes that kind of resources it doesn't strike me as particularly important.

Especially since the combination of 248k and SE allows a much easier, cheaper, and earlier power-from-nothing setup.

I'm not sure I concur with that assessment. BUT, that doesn't mean I am pressuring anybody to do anything about this. It may also be that I "played the game wrong". I am only now looking for more advanced ways to generate power. (and I'm finding that fission sucks, fusion sucks but less, and space solar / beamed stellar-orbit-solar is still the GOAT)
