So I have spent nearly a month trying to make a minimum size base which can be just slapped down on essentially any planet. Optimal? Hardly. Functional - as far as I can tell, yes.
It will automatically make rocket parts and delivery cannon capsules, tier 2 bots, and is belt based (spaghetti and underground weaving based) so there wont be excessive attrition of the logistic one way attack drones.
I hated making this TBH and would gladly have downloaded it if someone else had provided it - this is not the fun part of the game to me. This modpack causes the issue of perimeter/area scaling causing builds to be unnecessarily large. Hence there is places where belts are woven through the woven belts. Any "good" design which did what this base does this would be 5 times the size at least.
How to use: Set the initial crushers to the core fragment of your choice and DO NOT send the primary resource into the machine, this will likely deadlock it. Then enjoy as the the base automates the means of sending the primary resource to somewhere better. Should be suitable for any world with abundant water, modifications recommended to recycle water instead of dumping it if you want to use on a dry world.
It does require some seed materials. eg. an energy crystal. Maybe pyroflux?
What should be safe:
Changing the modules
Using the half-constructed bus downstream of the base
What is not safe:
Pulling too much fluid out of it - some are in oversupply but some are not and I have deadlocked it this way.
Upgrading the belts. This will break it catastrophically in many places.
I can think of some improvements, but I no longer care to work on this, and it does seem to make the objective materials fast enough. So, enjoy.
