g Can't even activate ATO

Hey there, i just wanted to start a round but i can't activate the modpack, i have disabled all mods already and restartet factorio with just basic game, no quali /sa and just activated ato, restart of factorio leads to a window showing

Error while running setup for recipe prototype "se-bismuth-glass" (recipe): Recipe is in 'crafting' category but has a non-item ingredient 'se-pyroflux' (fluid).

and says i have to disable bismuth/SE/Limestone/ato

any ideas? i checked the 3 other mods for a fresh update, nothing. tried stable/experimental factorio version. oh and i removed all the dependencies and ato, redownloaded ato ofver the ingame modloader and all the 81 other files ... still the same. Switched Language from German to English, still the same

When i disable everything and just enable bismuth and SE (+what is triggered by SE), i am already getting the error.

google ai says i have to change the handling of the se-bismuth-glass reciepe but i can't even find 'se-bismuth-glass' in my mod folder o.O

i am confused that no one posted about this the last days

ok i fixed it for now.

in bismuth_2.0.10\prototypes\glass-bismuth-recipe.lua line 72 i changed the category from 'crafting' to 'chemistry'

I hope that someone will deliver a real fix for this because i am absolutely unsure if it will work when i reach that science level

I'm assuming you have Foundry set to minimal mode? Because if the foundry building is enabled, the category should have been overwritten with founding.

... However, both categories are wrong, because the foundries don't have fluid inputs. It should be smelting. Or at least, that's what'll make it actually manufacturable. Actually, that makes more sense than 'crafting' for either of them...

Hey Morganni, thx for the reply, i could not set anything to minimal because i couldnt even start the game. I checked the mod settings for 'foundry' and i found 3 options: Hydrocarbonfor founding, Foundry can smelt, Other MAchines that can do founding... no option about minimal mode or something.

A Friend is playing a solo run too, he needs to build steel in the foundry, i don't even have a foundry o.O (mod is enabled.)

Well that's darn peculiar.

I've sent in a PR on bismuth to fix your original issue, but would you be willing to post a save file so I can look into this setting thing? Because I'm pretty sure that setting -should- be visible.

It feels totally peculiar for me too, i have around 4400 hours in factorio with 300+ mods (not active) in my mod folder and i had a run with self mixed mods leading into total chaos and i know there are things that don't work/start together or lead to game breaking bugs, crashes but when i just enable one mod which is just pulling its deps leading to such strange behavour i never had before.

I uploaded the save to my google drive and it should be downloadable (testet with a not logged in browser)

You've got one mod that it's saying isn't on the mod portal, heat-sensor_BL. I don't know why that would affect the Foundry settings though, and without that everything looks correct. Picture: https://imgur.com/a/4vZ19XF

If your game doesn't show some of those... well, that's not what's happening with the versions on the mod portal so there's not much I can do about it, but since the game should still be fine to play anyway you probably don't need to worry too much.

heat-sensor_BL is a modified version of the heat-sensor which shows temp's upda to 10.000°C not only 1.000°C as the basic version does. BL is shot form for bytelord, what my twitch name is ^^ Sorry i forgot about that thingy. Thx for your efforts again Morganni, we found out that searching the mod options for 'found' does not deliver the line with the minimal mode since its not showing the category 'froundry' but only lines where ''found' is in words, so minimal mode line does not have 'found' in the line... kinda my bad, kinda confusing that it's not showing the full foundry category in the options. (i disabled it and reworked half of my factory due to wild foundry appears :D)

We collected a lot of Data i guess.

The Game Start problem was 99% related to weird modsettings.dat stuff which we can't see because its crypted, my m8 who had the same problem as me, moved his whole mods folder and reloaded ato + deps and the problem was gone.

The m8 playing ATO too where the startup problem is not existing, has a good experience BUT the se-bismuth-glass reciepe can NOT be crafted anywere.
The bismuth mod set's the reciepe in line 72 to 'smelting' and we removed the line 121, which was forcing the reciepe to be 'founding' AND the foundry in ATO can't handle liquids.

So there is definately something weird going on with the foundry/bismuth/SE/ATO lua files totating the reciepes and buildings too much i guess.

It's not that weird, I just missed that the crafting categories weren't suitable when I fixed the line of code that added pyroflux to the recipe. Not a complicated fix all told, it just may take a while to get on the mod portal since Trikop isn't very active these days.
