i ❌ "Trace uranium extraction" needs rebalance

I'm not really sure what the use case for this is?

But, excluding loader power, I did a little setup using around 40MW to dispose of my accumulating sodium hydroxide stockpile. And semi-empirical calculation based on the output from my 5 core miner setup suggests that going from 19 to 20 core miners would still be a better way to get uranium than using this. At least on Nauvis. But I don't know where you would need so little and not be able to import it.

In my 1.1 ATOM game, it was "a way to make large amounts of sodium hydroxide Go Away".

In my 1.1 ATOM game, it was "a way to make large amounts of sodium hydroxide Go Away".

Not an unreasonable way to see it. I've already got an anti-priority item/fluid handling facility for that though so I can't deadlock.

Tell you something odd - I am using the recipe for handling chemical waste which makes pyroflux go away (which was not a problem in my 1.1 SE playthrough) so I can use the inevitable coal and stone excesses for mass landfill generation. Might be positive for stone and am definitely positive for landfill

So... any suggestion for a change?

I don't think it does need a change? With those numbers I think it's clearly intended as a sink more than as a steady source of uranium. It's probably a bit high for realism as it is.

Ok. It's true that many alternative recipes only exist as a sink for byproducts. Often they are worse than the initial recipe but that's indeed not their purpose.

Yeah okay. I do think it's demonstrably worse than a item/fluid handling facility with a pair of tier 1 efficiency modules, but I have no issue with it just being there - it's not gameplay critical
