Either we should be able to upgrade the "electonics assembling machine centrifuge Mk*" to the next level via the same recipe as the normal centrifuge, or there should be a recipe which goes from the mini machine to the large machine - I do not know if Factorio plays nice with 2 items which can be interconverted by player crafting.

The same goes for seafloor drills - but here I would encourage that the seafloor drill recipe should be able to be reversed.
