The cobalt and rare metal recipes are very nearly a straight downgrade from the basic recipe because they wont take productivity.

There was actually the bug that the metal caster didn't accept prod modules. I have a fix ready that I will release today.
Everything else seems correct.

I apologise, I assumed the rare metals recipe was also bugged. I have gotten into the editor to check things out now (never researched it). Rare metals works fine. Cobalt substrate is still bugged. They are made in assembly machines.

I have. It's just that I had 20-ish tabs open with mod discussions and then there is stuff from various Discords and my time is currently very limited.

No worries mate. I'm not waiting on it or anything.

I'll try and be thorough and precise in my testing for any new threads I open so as you don't have to spend as long on your end testing or understanding.

In addition to not allowing productivity, the cobalt-data-storage-substrate recipe takes 10 seconds compared to 5 for the basic recipe. I don't think that makes much sense.
