Hey orange dude, I just wanted to let you know that this is a very amazing modpack, and I am waiting with great expectations the 2.0 update.
You have something amazing going on here, and I appreciate all the hard work you've put in.
I know things may look a little grim. There isn't much talk in the discord server, nor over here, and the bug reports and overall activity on github shines through it's absence.
Yet even in such a situation, I still have hopes, and I still wish for you to push forward through all this discouraging circumstances, and keep fighting on. Maybe try promoting your work on factorio, gaming, and game/software dev related reddit subs, 4chan boards, discord servers, facebook groups, instagram, twitter, bluesky, mastodon, tiktok, youtube, twitch, steam, and even here on the factorio forums.
Try to do dev streams. Try showing people what is possible to do with the modpack vs just the mods individually. Show cool production lines and amazing looking bases showcasing elements from many of the mods. Engage more with the dev/gamer community. Ask your coding/spriting doubts and uncertainties online, and increase your presence on all social media, and many other gaming/dev related online forums.
You can use Obsidian to organize your ad campaigns, and keep track of your ideas. It is a pretty cool piece of software, ngl.
If you have some money, buy 100-200$ worth of adds on youtube or google.
If you're not an ai hater, use chatgpt, gemini, claude, or deepseek (locally, not on their website) to design an advertising strategy by explaining the ai your product, all it's strengths and weaknesses, all your plans and hopes for the future. Maybe use all of them and pit their ideas against each other by asking each other the good and bad sides of the strategies made by the other ais, and to try to improve on them.
There is a lot you can do to increase the popularity of your mod, but that requires a considerable ammount of hard work, and I don't know how much time you have for mod dev, but no doubt you have even less for ad campaings.
Very important to keep in mind is that if you're going to become a very public person, you need to make sure that you don't overshare personal information, and please, for the love of everything, don't get into politics. Just stick to your modpack.
Brother, I can only wish you good luck, and to not give up this great project you have in your hands. You are amazing, and I love ATOM (like the ATOM from fallout. Here you have, some meme ideas to promote the modpack).
Never give up. Don't let your dreams be dreams. Keep fighting, and make your dreams come true. In these dark times, many men would falter in will, yet you must not loose heart. You must be strong. Don't let your hard work fall into oblivion. Not all hope is lost.
