b yellow science cant be made in assembler 1

Currently on mod version 1.3.34
Computer-age technology packs (yellow sciencs) can't be made in assembly machine 1. Is this intended?
Blue, green and red science can all be made in burner, steam, assemby machine 1, 2, 3 and neo.
Yellow can only be made in steam, assembly machine 2, 3 and neo.
Could it be that it was intended that yellows can't be made in burner and steam assemblers instead of burner and assembly 1?

The tier 1 assembler doesn't accept fluid—maybe it should.

Most consider the liminal period between steam and assembler 2 to be an endearing novelty.
