i Integration with vanilla elements and other planets

I've been wanting to play Krastorio 2 with Space Age and other planets and this mod seems quite promising.

I found that there are some recipes that get duplicated and I got other ideas for adaptations to improve integration with Space Age and modded planets.

I'm not sure which ones should be done in other mods so I'll enumerate all here.

Elements that could be nicely integrated into Spaced Out:

Space Age's Aquilo includes:
- Lithium
- Ammonia

Planet Maraxsis includes:
- sand
- glass
- hydrogen
- oxygen

Planet Muluna includes:
- silicon
- changes to the vanilla crusher
- a crusher 2
- crushed stone
- crushed alumina
- silicon cell
- cooled steam
- hydrogen
- oxygen

Planet Moshine includes:
- sand
- glass
- changes Maraxsis glass into reinforced glass
- silicon
- integration with Muluna's silicon cell
- silicon carbide

Planet Tenebris Prime includes:
- quartz ore
- quartz nodes that yield quartz ore

Planet Corrundum includes:
- integration with Maraxsis hydrogen

Other ideas

  • Maybe it would make sense to make Krastorio's crusher only specific to surfaces with gravity and keep the vanilla crusher as a specialized crusher for space.
  • It would be nice to make greenhouse and biolab able to be built on any surface, perhaps except on space platform.
  • Greenhouses for yumako and jellynut.
  • Would it make sense to make biomass spoil?
  • Biochambers could make biomass too.
  • Krastorio railgun ammo could integrate the vanilla ammo, turning Krastorio railgun shell into the vanilla railgun ammo and making the explosive and antimatter version an extension to the vanilla railgun, so that vanilla and Krastorio railgun weapons can use each other's ammos. (I'm suggesting the same for Tarantulator)
  • Could the Krastorio railgun turret be turned into an upgrade after the vanilla railgun? because it's comparatively overpowered.
  • It would be nice to make the vanilla rocket turret compatible with turret rockets.
  • Perhaps make the spidertron compatible with turret rockets too since the spidertron is basically the vanilla rocket turret with legs.
  • For some reason I feel that immersite would fit nicely as a resource endemic to Terra Palus, but that integration should be made from their part I think.
  • I was also thinking about making Age Of Production compatible with this Krastorio mod but I think that the integration should be done from their part. (update: author of Age Of Production seem reluctant but will accept pull requests)

That's what I have written down so far, what do you think about these ideas and which should be suggested to the authors of these mods?

biomass spoil
As much as i hate spoil mechanics (it forces me to use my brain ;d) i sincerely think that anything bio- should be spoilable; this includes fertilizer and health pack. I would consider optional (as optional is Fuel for vehicles or aiming) wood spoilage but with rather long time like 90 mins or so.
Spawner corpse( initial source of biomass) on the other hand should not because Stomper's carcass is non-spoilable source of Pentapod's eggs.

Krastorio's crusher specific to gravity
Definetely. At the end of the day it's for making sand out of stone and inserter parts out of outserters ;).
"Space recyclers are smaller but more sophisticated, they could clog with anything non-space originated therefore they make sense only on flying bricks aka your ship" -> lore-wise explanation of dual crushers.

Biochambers to make biomass.
Well, somewhat. Biomass outside of military science is pretty useless (it's fuel value makes it only a bit better than moldy fruits), therefore not much gain of enabling production in another building and/or complicating recipe. If, on the other hand biomass could get enriched to something of value or be component of alternate recipe for something (wood, chance of become yumako or jellynut or ore endemic for surface) then sure.

Greenhouses for yumako and jellynut
We do have them already, they're called Agricultural towers and present challenge of they own ;) Possibility to craft fruits without dedicated soil and Towers poses risk of breaking balance, because if i can grow fruits, even slowly then let's spam shitload of GHs and forget about them.

I would like to thank you for taking effort of porting K2 to SA. I was stuck on 1.x yet i play K2 the most due to loaders, air purifiers and bigger containers. Making loaders require power was rude yet very welcome change :D. Can't wait to see where this will evolve to :)
