The VRAM requirements are pretty brutal if you also include the Space Age textures even for high end hardware. I've selected only the low VRAM requirement parts but it's a bit weird having HD and SD textures side by side. Have you tested the VRAM usage and effects on quality and performance for the settings atlas texture size, high quality animations, texture streaming and texture compression?

I can tell you the following:
- Smaller texture size increases the VRAM requirement minimally.
- High quality animations reduce VRAM by about 10%, but sometimes the animations stutter noticeably.
- Texture streaming has no noticeable effect
- Texture compression reduces VRAM by about 17.5%, but you will notice a decrease in texture quality at maximum zoom. It is better than normal, but worse than the better texture compression.

I don't see any noticeable difference in performance.
