I've had the pleasure of trying out your mod with its latest updates, and I like where this is going! ... It's also nearly 3am so congrats on that I suppose :D

Designed a setup to make what would be a consistent 120 SPM if I had enough collectors grabbing asteroids. Was certainly interesting to design a system that would evenly distribute the glass to either some storage to cool naturally, or assemblers to accelerate the process, depending on what was needed. In the end I noted that the science packs needs them in equal number so I built around a 50:50 split... only to realise that if it ever backs up and spoils, it ruins everything. So then followed a beautiful mess of spoilage disposal but then the balance can be wrong the other way! So I ended up with a circuit-controlled load balancer and a belt monitor to detect an overflow and eject it into space. Fun stuff!

I may leave this for now while you work on more of it, but I'll definitely be back to see how it's going!

PS. writing descriptions is indeed hard.

... It just now occurs to me that since the input resources are infinite, I can just throw excess science packs overboard and then my 50:50 split would've worked perfectly throughout. Damnit XD

I'm glad you enjoyed the mod, and 120spm is a fairly solid quantity considering the asteroid supply provided. Well done!

I am also happy to see that the crystalline chunk split production path is resulting in some interesting gameplay decisions. I was particularly proud of that idea.

As for future content, it remains to be seen how long that will take, though I suspect it might take at least a month or two before the next phase of the game is in a functional state. As is the nature of developing anything, no guarantees on that time frame.
