Big Laser turrets don't fire new biters. So, if I place it near existing enemy, it works, if new bitter/base appears in the fire range, it doesn't work. If I replaced the turret at the same place, it fires instantly as should be. I used radars to be sure that enemies/bases are actual. Also, when biters are coming closer, the gun fires too. It's not an issue with fire range, perhaps new biters are not moving and the gun can't detect them (but artillery can in the same case).
