I still think this the problem. there is no use for the wooden platforms. They are the mod specific building tile but you cannot build anything needed on them. Land is at such a premium in this mod that every island is needed for growing coconuts (my favorite part) but you cannot build any mod specific processing buildings on wooden platforms.
it takes more space than is available to process the coconuts so you are left to import thousands of foundations from Aquilo to process the coconuts. My smallest self contained ethanol producer is larger than any island i've found yet and shipping is impractical due to spoilage.
The 25% yield on titanium dust consumes many chunks worth of nutrient production from coconut to get 1 or 2 science per minute.
they can be used on other places where you need just to drag some belts or make path
like fulgora oil ocean or gleba swamp
they are only blocked on vulcanus, because it's wood and it makes sense
They are mostly for small infrastructure. I wanted to somehow have a way to build something around oil rigs or to drag belt and don't give full controll to avoid things like long pipelines or rails instead of ships. locking infrastructure on island only is by design.
You can still get nest recipe and foundation on aquilo. But this planet was designed as something post gleba pre aquilo
Wooden platforms where added to have control over what you can build on deepsea. Because if you can build anything then you can build rail or long pipeline powered with electric pump, and players ended up with single blob island instead of archipelago style factory.
I will revisit titanium recipe chain and check the numbers.
