When I tried to load the planner while looking at a space platform via remote view, it gave me this chat message:

Couldn't enter the planning room -- the game refused to set up the planning camera, so nothing has changed.

If you find it in the editor, it won't let you enter the planning room. You can only enter the planning room in your save or in any single-player mode.

If you want to plan your construction in space, simply open the planning mode with CTRL+P. The interface will show a rocket icon; click it, and you'll enter the planning mode on the space platform.
