I did notice that it may not like pre-existing saves, but haven't confirmed this yet. Either way, I appreciate you making this. Is it possible to change the background? I get vertigo from the alternating squares. Could you add the option for a solid dark gray background? Or plain ground/landfill instead?

Can this mod help to "plan" my space platform? Is there a "space" background option?
Basically I need to put this "base" building and connect some circuits to it too test all my logics for inserters/crushers/belts/etc before i send 20 rockets to space.

Yes please add platforms. This mod would really help with importing new (and large) platform designs. I had one platform design that was so big i had to lay it out on the ground and in order to do that had to kill a bunch of bugs and conquer enough territory it was a whole campaign. took me a while.

I have already made it possible to create a space platform in planning mode.
