g Questions about recipe changes & future plans

Firstly: I have been playing the mod, including some planets, and I am enjoying it so far. Pre-space age I finished a Krastorio 2 run, and I am really glad it's getting merged, so thank you!

I’ve noticed with the last updates, a few recipes are being changed and that made me wonder:

  1. Are we supposed to build (quite big) electrolysis plants on spaceships to get the now needed oxygen & hydrogen? What was the reasoning behind the change, realism?
  2. Should players expect more major recipe or progression changes in future updates?
  3. If 2 is true, is it better to wait for balance to stabilize before committing to large-scale builds in the near future?

Looking forward to your reply! Thanks in advance.

  1. The changes to thruster fuel has been introduced to make use of K2 recipes and make it more complex and realistic.
2/3.I don't have raw plans for v1.5, but if you already are in a run you may consider staying at v1.4.32

Will there be a way to keep the old recipes while still updating to 1.5? (I.e. as a startup setting)

There won't be a setting for this, but you can use recipe tweaker if you really want to keep old recipe

Alright, thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

I'll definitely be using the recipe tweaker as it would probably take hours for me to go through all my space platforms and redesign for this. (not to mention parking all of them, breaking time sensitive logistical chains that need to be rebooted...) It really seems like an unnecessary change to me.

Of course, appreciate all the work you put into this project, thank you.
