Failed to load mods: ribbonia/prototypes/entity/decoratives.lua:145: attempt to index field 'artificial-water-cane' (a nil value)
stack traceback:

yes this is an incompatibility but right now I am unsure of what the other mod is "Water cane" gives me the idea that it is caused by https://mods.factorio.com/mod/wayward-seas

Hey there, thanks for the report!

Ribbonia and Wayward seas load for me with no issue. I've tagged Kubius but as far as I can see, his code doesn't change base game water cane in any way that would error mine out.

Do you have any other mods that touch the water cane base entity? Perhaps other agriculture mods or biome mods?

Not really... I've never even used water canes or have any mods about them... Agricultural mods, I have coralium, a mod that adds corals to fulgora
https://mods.factorio.com/mod/fulgora-coralmium-agriculture?from=search
I might have had something for aquilo but I'm pretty sure I don't have it on right now.

To be honest water cane is something I've never realized I had the ability to grow. Maybe I have a mod that changes water?
I have alien biomes cause alien biomes make nauvis feel actually interesting and I know there are some funky things with terrain overflows so it might be that?
What does even ribbonia add that could have issues with water? It's a fulgora ring, it doesn't feel like something that has to do anything with water

It's Alien Biomes.

To answer your question (I'll add some screenshots when reworking the description) Ribbonia is an artificial ring world that has artificial trees on it, including water cane and others. https://imgur.com/a/qG4OIHj

I can fix Alien Biomes compat at a later date, but it heavily screws with other things too such as map generation on all planets, not just the vanilla planets so I'll just mark it as incompatible in the next version for now. If you're playing with a lot of other planet mods I'd advise you to ask the authors about compatibility; it will quite often make vital entities not generate and softlock you.

Thanks for your report!

I;ve never had issues with alien biomes.
It's funny cause this is not the first time I'm hearing about alien biomes being completely incompatible with planet mods, but I've neither experienced it, or actually had any issues with it or seen any examples of these issues up until this very mod
