Changelog

Version: 0.11.0
Date: 2026-10-12

  Added:
    - Every surface specialisation now has a committed production identity unlocked by its completed specialist-development project rather than by additional technology clutter.
    - Mining: manganese/titanium specialist Mining Supplies route.
    - Industry: Molybdenum-reinforced Maintenance Kits route.
    - Logistics: zirconium/tinned-cable Consumer Supplies route.
    - Research: gallium/antimony/neodymium precision Research Supplies route.
    - Agriculture: mineral-fortified Colony Food route using colony produce.
    - Molybdenum 0.1.1+ is now the 17th required specialty-material provider.
    - Precision Industrial Works now consumes 25 Molybdenum Steel and 10 Molybdenum Superalloy.
    - Added Molybdenum-reinforced maintenance kits: 2 Molybdenum Steel + 1 Molybdenum Superalloy + 2 Magnesium + 1 Cadmium-Plated Hardware -> 12 Maintenance Kits.
    - Added a targeted Molybdenum provider contract check for the exact 0.1.1 Molybdenum/Rhenium/catalyst/superalloy prototypes and structural-alloy recipes.

  Compatibility:
    - Uses the exact prototype IDs reported by Molybdenum 0.1.1.
    - Colonial Horizons validates but does not modify or redistribute Molybdenum provider recipes.
    - Forgeworks Core remains 0.3.5+; no new generic Core helper was needed.
Version: 0.10.0
Date: 2026-10-10

  Specialist Development:
    - Added one specialist-development project to the surface-colony project chain for Mining, Industry, Logistics, Research and Agriculture specialisations.
    - Specialist projects consume the required 0.9 specialty-material stack instead of adding duplicate provider recipes.
    - A colony can complete only one specialist-development project; changing specialisation later cannot accumulate every specialist project bonus.

  Bonuses:
    - Mining: Deep Resource Directorate further reduces Deep Bore and Advanced Deep Bore workforce requirements.
    - Industry: Precision Industrial Works further reduces workforce requirements across CH industry.
    - Logistics: Intermodal Freight Hub improves freight-export priority and adds a reserve-surplus growth bonus.
    - Research: Advanced Research Campus increases the specialist-workforce share and reduces later colony-project material requirements by 15%.
    - Agriculture: Agricultural Biosphere further improves population growth and food efficiency.

  Existing Saves:
    - Existing 0.9.x colony/project state remains valid; no destructive migration is required.
    - Colonies already specialised will see their specialist project inserted after Frontier Infrastructure if it has not been completed.
Version: 0.9.1
Date: 2026-10-10

  Changes:
    - Corrected release metadata to state that the 16 validated specialty-material providers are required dependencies.
    - Removed obsolete provider-discovery development notes from the 0.9 release changelog.
    - Updated stale internal comments left from the provider-audit development phase.

  Compatibility:
    - No gameplay or balance changes from 0.9.0.
    - Existing 0.9.0 saves remain compatible.
    - Requires Forgeworks Core 0.3.5 or newer.

Version: 0.8.0
Date: 2026-10-10

  Major Features:
    - Added a force-wide colony selector to the Colony Overview.
    - Formalised independent multi-surface colony state for planetary and orbital settlements.
    - Added population-scaled supply demand, reserve bonuses and distinct orbital supply profiles.
    - Added dedicated surface and orbital infrastructure-project progressions.
    - Expanded specialisations so mining, industry, logistics, research and agriculture have distinct operational effects.
    - Expanded freight planning with orbital-route awareness and unmet-demand reporting.

  Changes:
    - Colony Overview can switch directly between every colony owned by the player's force.
    - Surface and orbital colonies keep independent population, housing, supplies, projects, deficits, freight plans and specialisations.
    - Orbital colonies require Environmental Supplies and additional maintenance/research reserves.
    - Strong supply reserves provide a modest population-growth and stability bonus.
    - Orbital Habitats can provide colony governance for orbital specialisation.
    - Agriculture specialisation remains limited to solid worlds.
    - Orbital projects stage materials through Freight Terminals instead of planetary Project Offices.
    - Freight recommendations identify orbital vs interplanetary routes and report demand that no colony can currently satisfy.
    - Planetary Freight Network, Orbital Logistics Link and specialisations influence freight recommendation priority.
    - Migrated CH GUI event validation to Forgeworks Core's shared safe GUI event helper.

  Migration:
    - Added 0.8.0 storage migration for independent demand profiles, freight unmet-demand state and supply reserve bonuses.
    - Existing 0.7.0 population, supplies, projects and specialisations are preserved.

  Bugfixes:
    - Existing-save colony rebuilds now preserve population by restoring the full tracked asset index before recalculating housing capacity.
    - Fixed existing-save colony population loss during entity-index rebuilds. Rebuilds now restore all tracked asset references before recalculating colony capacity, instead of recalculating against a partially rebuilt housing index.
    - Normal newly-built entity registration still applies the intended initial population defaults and immediate recalculation.
    - Strengthened the release/test locale audit to detect duplicate section headers as well as duplicate keys.
    - Uses Factorio 2.x `helpers.write_file` with per-player output for multiplayer-safe test reporting.
    - Prevented Space Exploration from swapping CH orbital machines into hidden -spaced variants by removing inherited productivity support.
    - Fixed Space Exploration orbit placement compatibility for Colonial Horizons orbital machines.
    - Marked all Colonial Horizons orbital assembling-machine derivatives as Space Exploration space-compatible so they are physically placeable on orbital platform tiles.

  Compatibility:
    - Factorio 2.1.
    - Requires Forgeworks Core 0.3.4 or newer.
    - Requires Space Exploration 0.7.62 or newer.

    - Integrated embedded ICB colony depots into Colonial Horizons supply storage.

  Changes:
    - Population growth now scales with population, habitability, stability, agriculture specialisation and infrastructure investment.
    - Environmental Supplies are required for severe-hazard colonies rather than mild frontier worlds.
    - Orbital Habitats provide artificial-environment habitability so orbit colonies can develop without planetary terraforming machinery.
