g Tech tree to reduce confusion

Something like this https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Yi_Tech_Tree would work. I've played with this mod years ago and it's still the same old, not that I'm complaining about it's age but I think it's high time that it needs the modernization of its contents in order to reduce confusion and information overload when starting up with the mod.

I dont disagree, however, I have not used that tech tree mod in a long time myself due to running my fixes mod which altered many recipes and broke advancement with that mod.

tech tree is kinda a long-term goal thing, right now as it is much of the recipes still need some rework to for balancing reasons and I'm going to get Space Age support directly into the mod once things are more stable. This also means more recipe changes if SA is detected to make things more progression based.

I've updated my tech tree mod for 2.0, theres still some bugs in the initial release(wrong icon sizes, didn't catch all recipe name changes in recent updates).

jatmn, I would like to invite you to be a collaborator on the tech tree mod. I made a github so there is an up to date repository on changes I've done so far. https://github.com/MnHebi/Yuoki-Tech-Tree-Extra-Vanilla

I am working on splitting down the techs, so far Walls, and Electric Turrets have been further separated into their own techs so things make sense. Still working on how to split Yuoki Advanced Power tech so it makes sense, and unlocks stuff at better junctures for smooth progression since atm it just unlocks a whole bunch of stuff at once. And so it actually connects to Yuoki Power tech.

Now the tech tree mod should be fully functional with no Yuoki recipes being available from the start except the Palisade Wall.

It seems like fragments of the mod have been hidden and unhidden over time, too. The Passive Vitduo wall (massive resists and IIRC thorns damage) was hidden in 1.1, and the custom belt types appear to have gone into hiding with this version.

The wall was broken in 1.1 or at least was whenever i tried it.
the belts i hid with 2.0 because the i have not sorted out how to fix them.. as far as i can tell the sprites are useless now with how belts are mapped.. but not had a chance to digg deeper and they were very unusable leaving them active.
