The circuit configuration for minimum amount of lower quality products should include the inserter stack size.
For example if i configure to keep 20 assembling machines and I'm using bulk inserters, it will take out 12 assembling machines once 20 are in the chest which leaves only 8 machines in the chest. If i configure a minimum value of 20, I would expect to have always at least 20 machines at hand to build something, which is currently not the case.
Therefore I would suggest to add the inserter stack size to the minimum limit. In my example the minimum limit would be set to 32.
I see. I may have worded that a bit ambiguous.
What i actually meant: The chosen circuit limit for the minimum reserve should be increased by the inserter stack size.
Your suggestion works too. I discarded that suggestion though because setting it to 1 may make it struggle with fast recipes or machines. Making it configurable should solve that problem.
Or combine the two. configurable inserter stack size and adjusting the circuit configuration.
