Unfunny Science

(BETA) Entire game overhaul, ~900 more recipes. Makes the chemistry and industrial processes more "realistic" while trying to keep fun factor. Almost every recipe has a few byproducts to deal with, making even green circuits a challenge to automate.

(ALPHA, ALL FEATURES CAN CHANGE)

This mod is not for you if you do not like complexity.
Changes the entire game to make it much more complex. Almost every recipe has a few byproducts, that you have to deal with. There is a flare stack to void anything, but it will be removed sometime soon.

You start out mining iron, lead, tin, limestone and quartz to produce Native and Automation science packs. A big milestone here is getting the crusher, a steam powered machine which will be one of your main machines for a while, and the tube boiler which lets you boil seawater to get steam and purified water. You then have to make Electronic circuits which unlocks electrically powered machinery which will help in your goal of launching a rocket to get Logistic science. After that you have to process oil by harnessing heat energy to get plastics, acrylics and other synthetic resources which will be your main building material for a while. Purify and dope silicon to get Advanced circuits and Neural coprocessors, and do advanced chemistry to get Chemical science packs. After chemical science packs you can start expanding into space in order to unlock Niobium, Beryllium, Osmium, Iridium, Helium, Zirconium, and Space science packs.

Features:

  • Entire game overhaul, much more complex
  • 800+ new recipes
  • 500+ new items
  • 300+ new fluids
  • 100+ new techs

Planned features:

Not currently compatible with any large mods.

If anything looks off, let me know and I'll try to get it fixed!
