g AI Slop Mod

Look man, I really appreciate the effort and the idea of this mod is just lovely... but its just not working.
Ive tested various versions of this over the last days and everything is just broken. If the discussion page is anything to go from, I am not alone with this.

Ive been so tired by my game crashing once this mod has another update that I took the liberty to check your github... Everything is AI generated and makes no sense. It doesn't have a meaningful structure, normal repo setups factorio mods usually follow are thrown entirely out of the window and there is douzens of files that are completely unrelated to factorio itself.
Then I took a closer look on your information page here on the portal. Suprise! Its entirely made by AI and barely provides useful information.

This is probably also the reason the loading times are so insane... a simple codemode shouldnt even be noticeable in loading times. I suspect its because of all the unecessary filestructures.

At this point I suggest you just start over or stop entirely. Code this shit yourself or learn how to properly use AI tools to achieve your goals. This current project however is just embarrassing.

Thanks for the honesty. No word of a lie.

You're right, the mod has become far too complicated for what it is supposed to do, and the updates are a shitshow.
I've been trying to address these problems for months, but I clearly don't have the skill or the time to pull it off.
I relied heavily on AI, and I got carried away with feature creep. That's on me.

I didn't expect anyone to use this mod when I started, I made it for myself because it didn't exist.
The original goal was to add configurable research for vanilla and modded content, without breaking existing technologies or saves.
I always planned from the start to implement automatic research generation, graceful compatibility handling, and intelligent validation.
I see after trying that that's not a good idea. This was a clusterfuck.

I will replace the complicated automatic generation system with an explicitly defined set of technologies and compatibility rules.

I'll let you know how I go.
Thanks again for being direct about it.

Hi Julesc. You wrote that you didn't expect anyone will use your mod. I just wanna tell you that despite your mod is not really essencial, I really miss it in my list because it allowed me to adjust the science mechanics (which is very important for my playstyle) and have MUCH more fun in this game. Thanks for your mod and improving my gameplay experience and I really hope you will manage to fix it sooner or later
