I have the said mod plates-n-circuit-productivity installed and I wonder if I really need it if I install your mod?

Just checked it out, looks like M.I.R. incorporates all the features of plates-n-circuit-productivity, so its not needed.
Though i did try to make my code aware of existing mods, so green/red/blue circuit productivity from my mod may not show up if you keep plates-n-circuit-productivity, to avoid doubling up.
Let me know if you see duplicate technologies... i'll probably make an option to toggle duplicates globally.

Green and red research show up with both mods installed, blue not. The following mods are listed for it: Space Age, PlanetLib (2x), Castra

let me know if its still broken in 1.9.0/2.0.0/2.0.5, i overhauled the duplicate detection

The researches from plates-n-circuit are still listed together with yours. I guess I can simply then uninstall the other mod.

i've missed something, let me have another look at it... Im releasing a patch with much broader mod compatibility (planets and overhaul packs) but itll take me a few days to test

i just pushed an update 2.1.0/1.9.5 that both pass tests to fix this, let me know if it works, maybe my tests are false positives

I got a popup saying that technology has been removed. So it looks like it is working now. Yes, the other mod's research isn't showing up anymore. Thank you for your efforts.
