FallenPaladin's Reborn Collection

Great mods shouldn't die just because their authors moved on. Every mod in this pack was abandoned or left behind by a Factorio update. I've revived each one: cleaned it up, fixed the bugs reported on its discussion page, and updated it for Factorio 2.1.

This is a mod pack. It adds nothing by itself. It just installs all my Reborn mods in one click, and each mod keeps updating on its own.

Requires Space Age.

Quality

  • Better Quality (Reborn): quality boosts belt speed, mining drill and pumpjack speed, and locomotive fuel efficiency. Legendary roboports, substations and big poles tile perfectly. Optional Optimization Module, Centrifuge 2 and Bulk Recycler. Originally Better Quality + Quality Lib by sSasha.
  • Mythic Quality (Reborn): adds Mythic, a quality tier above Legendary, and makes every quality stronger but harder to reach. Everything is configurable. Originally by VextexFux, based on Steeper Quality by Durikkan.

Power & Heat

  • Superheating (Reborn): superheaters and oil-fired boilers for more efficient steam power. The old superheater output bug is fixed. Originally by GotLag; balance ideas from tntmasta.
  • KS Power Rebalancing (Reborn): reasonable pollution, useful boiler quality and other tweaks for KS Power. Originally by OwnlyMe.
  • Underground Heat Pipe (Reborn): underground heat pipes for every underground belt tier, Advanced Belts included. Quality heat pipes heat a larger area, and heat pipes can be cast in the foundry. Originally by Quezler and OC1024, with Quality Heat Pipes (Bunshaman) and Casting heat pipe (KCKy) folded in.
  • Heat Glow (Reborn): prettier heat glow, and pipes carrying lava or molten metal glow red-hot. Originally by OwnlyMe.
  • SLP Battery Powered: charge batteries and battery packs, carry the energy anywhere, and burn it in generators, cars, tanks and trains. Merges Battery Powered by Harag with SLP High-capacity batteries by SLywnow (forked with permission).
  • Solar Appliances (Reborn): off-grid solar lamps, radars and a daylight-only solar inserter. Originally by radmin96.

Production

  • Electric Furnaces (Reborn): electric stone and steel furnaces, two electric furnace upgrades, and an electric boiler. Originally by GotLag.
  • Bio Tech (Reborn): make science packs and rocket parts from biological and renewable materials. Requires Bio Industries, which the pack installs automatically. Originally by SlopppyEngineering.
  • Electric Pump (Reborn): an electric pump that pulls fluid from underground: water, lava, ammonia or heavy oil, depending on the planet. Originally by Viidi.
  • Plastic Burns (Reborn): plastic bars burn as fuel (not in vehicles), plus a plastic pyrolysis recipe. Originally by Frontrider.
  • Sulfur from Acid Neutralisation (Reborn): acid neutralisation on Vulcanus also produces sulfur. Originally by Solonarv.

Multiplayer

  • Oarc Multiplayer Spawn (Reborn): every player gets their own spawn area, or can start at the map center. Originally by Oarcinae, continued with permission.

Bonus

  • Crash Site Hideout: someone left something for you in the wreck. Don't throw your ship away. An original FallenPaladin mod, with thanks to Wube.

Good to know

  • Remove the originals first. Each Reborn mod replaces its original and is marked incompatible with it, so Factorio won't load both.
  • Oarc changes how a new game starts. Every new game opens with the spawn menu. If you only want the content mods, install them one by one instead.
  • Bugs or ideas? Post them on the according mods discussion page.
