Electric Pump (Reborn)
An electric pump that pulls fluid straight out of the ground — no lake, ocean or lava pool needed. Plug it into your power grid, place it anywhere on land, and it pumps whatever fluid the planet has underground.
This is a continuation of Viidi's Electric Pump, which has been abandoned. Updated for Factorio 2.0 / 2.1 and Space Age.
What it pumps
| Planet | Fluid |
|---|---|
| Nauvis | Water |
| Gleba | Water |
| Vulcanus | Lava |
| Fulgora | Heavy oil |
| Aquilo | Ammonia |
| Space platforms | Can't be placed |
Planets added by other mods pump water.
How it works
- There is only one item: Electric Pump. When it's placed, it automatically becomes the right pump for the planet it's on.
- Works with blueprints, ghosts and construction robots on any planet.
- Mining any version gives you back the same Electric Pump item.
- Uses 20 kW of electricity and pumps at the same rate as the vanilla offshore pump.
- Can be built on land only, not in water.
Recipe and unlock
- Unlocked by Steam power research.
- Recipe: the normal offshore pump ingredients + 6 copper cable.
Compatibility
- Works with or without Space Age. Without it, the pump simply pumps water.
- Replaces the original Viidi's Electric Pump. The two can't be enabled together.
- Upgrading from the original mod: disable the old mod and enable this one. Your existing pumps are kept, and pumps already on Vulcanus, Fulgora or Aquilo switch to the right fluid automatically.
Credits
- Original mod by Viidi (MIT license).
- Continued and updated by FallenPaladin.
