Hey guys so since this morning the Yuoki mod doesnt work anymore. It shows this almost immediatly after starting Factorio:

Yuoki/data-final-fixes.lua:73: attempt to call field 'add_stack' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
Yuoki/data-final-fixes.lua:73: in main chunk

The Yuoki mod from JATMN gives me this error upon loading;

Cannot serialise ttype=function

Ive got this issue a few times this week, i could work around this by switching to the other Yuoki mod but both dont work at the moment.. Is there some way to fix this or to give you ppl more information in order to find out whats causing this?

the current release of yuoki 1.2.4 requires game version of 2.0.18 or higher.
else you have to be on 2.0.17 or older for yuoki 1.2.3

I see that 2.0.20 was released as stable and I just checked, and yuoki 1.2.4 loads fine there.

Can blame this mess on Wube for making a mod-breakings changes between minor updates :(

Im on Factorio version 2.0.20 and whenever i try to activate the Yuoki-mod you released it still gives me this error

Cannot serialise ttype=function

Could it be that another mod causes this? Or should i re-install Factorio? Any ideas? im pretty much depending on Yuoki.. ^^

also what strikes me odd is the fact that the yuoki mod you released is listed as version 1.2.2 and the one released by yuokitani reads 1.2.4 ... What version is the one that should be used with factorio 2.0??

there is literally a double incompatibility flag between those 2 Yuoki versions.. so they will never load.
There are also notes on the description to not use my old one.. it will be deprecated soon..

You're basically trying to load the same mod 2 times.
Load this one, not the other one.

Also as mentioned in a few threads while YuokiTani is the owner of this mod, I'm the one currently maintaining it.

im a bit confused now.. ^^ i never tried to load both at the same time.. i was switching back and forth between the 2 versions of the mod since one stopped working.. I updated some mods this morning and right after that i was getting errors telling me to deactivate this Yuoki mod.. This is really frustrating since im not even using that much mods..

Ill try deactivating all mods and start over by only using yuoki and working my way up.. maybe ill find the culprit myself.. :-)

yea.. dont even touch my old one.. that will never load at this point with current factorio updates.

Only load this one, and if your having issues..
Share the exact version of factorio your running and the version of this mod your loading and the full error message your getting.

okay so im now on Factorio 2.0.20 and Yuoki is enabled with most of the mods im using. "Creative Mod" killed it completely, making me disabling Yuoki and giving this error:

Fehler beim Laden der Mods: The given sprite rectangle (left_top=0x0, right_bottom=64x64) is outside the actual sprite size (left_top=0x0, right_bottom=32x32).
If this is being used as an icon you may need to define the icon_size property.

I already went to their mod in order to ask for help but i thought that you may be able to do something from your end as well? Seems to be a sprite thats not loaded correctly if im not completely dumb. :-) If theres anything else i can provide you with please let me know! :-)

that error specifically is caused by creative mod, not yuoki. that's a problem you need to report to them.

that's their mod not respecting the icon size used by yuoki mod.

Excuse me for being so pesky but is there much work to be done? I mean like couldnt you "simply" increase the max icon size or is this something much more complex? :-) My first thought was to "just edit some numbers"? but thank you very much for helping me out so far! great to see that the community here is willing to be helpfull :-)

its not a matter of numbers.. thats the problem.. that's what that mod is doing..

the image file itself is 32x32 and the game sees that when the other mod tries to load it as 64x64..

to fix that my side.. means i have to upscale the icon.. which i have considered doing.. but not done because ill have to Ai upscale it (which is hit and miss) because i don't have the original asset of it to do a proper rescale.

you could maybe try xnview and use lanczos styled upscaling or trying any of its scaling methods but afaik crunchyness is unavoidable with any kind of upscaling, you can see the effect in-game and factorio is doing its own upscaling already, yea?

I actually have no idea if factorio upscales icons already, so it's possible this could be done unobtrusively (ie, upscaling so factorio doesn't do it, but without any artifacts)
