Hard Nauvis

Difficulty tweaks for Nauvis. Part of Space Age: Hard Mode, though this mod is standalone.

Tweaks

Tweaks can generally be disabled by a setting.

  • Nights are darker, with lighted power poles to compensate (or this mod can be disabled in settings for another lighting mod of your choice).
  • Half of all Nauvis iron, copper, stone and coal patches are mixtures of all four.
    • Only vanilla ores are affected. The amounts and ratios of each ore are the same as vanilla.
    • The starting patches are unmixed.
    • This setting isn't for everyone (or every playthrough), so note it's possible to disable it in settings.
  • Efficiency modules are 25% less effective, bringing trouble to bases that scale too quickly.
  • Flamethrowers and locomotives both require more fuel.
  • Shotguns do +40% damage.
  • A range of optional dependencies make enemies more difficult.

You may wish to customize Nauvis further via the map settings — this mod does not affect those.
