Hard Gleba

Difficulty tweaks for Gleba. Part of Hard Mode, though this mod is standalone.

Certain dependencies of this mod are intended to be used by default. However, such mandatory dependencies have been moved to the top-level modpack in order to make Hard Gleba fully customizable.

This mod is very difficult. Trupen's mod Better Gleba Experience is recommended to make 'Gleba start' games in general less punishing.

Tweaks

Tweaks can generally be disabled by a setting.

  • A special new technology is required to drop cargo (excluding construction bots) on Gleba.
  • The heating tower requires agricultural science to research. As with other Hard Mode planets, this incentivizes a small science build prior to launching a rocket.
  • Gleba item spoilage time is set to 70%.
    • Gleba items are defined as those with a default import location of Gleba.
    • Agricultural science packs are excluded from this change.
  • Agricultural science now requires 40 nutrients to craft in addition to its other ingredients, making it trickier to craft them fresh.
  • Coal synthesis is unlocked earlier. In effect, this moves forward the unlock of handheld rocket launchers.
