Hard Space
Difficulty tweaks that affect space. Part of Space Age: Hard Mode, though this mod is standalone.
Certain dependencies of this mod are intended to be used by default. However, such mandatory dependencies have been moved to the top-level modpack in order to make Hard Space fully customizable.
Tweaks
Tweaks can generally be disabled by a setting.
- Building undergrounds belts or pipes on space platforms each require researching a special new technology.
 - Space platform foundation tile weight is increased by 10%.
 - Offworld science packs (from Fulgora, Vulcanus and Aquilo, not just Gleba) now have certain transport or maintenance challenges.
 - Medium asteroids now have 5 physical resistance.
- Advanced metallic asteroid processing is available in early-game space.
 
 - Space routes are 50% longer.
 - Asteroids now spawn with quality.
 - Asteroid reprocessing recipes no longer admit quality modules.
 - Railguns now need to be fed cold fluoroketone to operate properly, as originally intended in FFF-432.
 - Promethium chunks decay after 5 minutes.
