Cerys

Fulgora's moon of puzzles. Ancient wrecks embedded in thick ice can seemingly be repaired, including a colossal nuclear reactor that could transform the possibilities on the surface... if you can get it working. Cerys is a complete and polished mod that does not modify the vanilla game in any way, so is easy to include in existing saves.

g [Spoiler] Ghost particles in blueprint lab?

5 months ago

For develping optimal rods placement, I tried using the bluprint lab, put a bunch of ghost particle generators, but there in the lab, the particles or ghost particles don't move and maybe are dying instantly.

Am I doing something wrong?

Unfortunately, solar wind is only scripted to move on Cerys right now.

Same UPS tank here, I reseted the lab and wrote a script to see if any ghost particle had not despawned, yet Cerys is taking 5x as much update time as the rest of the game. Even after load the lag persists.

Script I used:

local target_name = "cerys-solar-wind-particle-ghost"
local total_removed = 0

for _, surface in pairs(game.surfaces) do
    local entities = surface.find_entities_filtered{
        name = target_name
    }

    for _, entity in pairs(entities) do
        if entity.valid then
            entity.destroy()
            total_removed = total_removed + 1
        end
    end
end

game.print("Removed " .. total_removed .. " entities.")

Any fix? How can I check what else is consuming the CPU?

Edit: Left the game running for some time in idle and apparently it came back to normal, so something must've despawned, dunno what though.
