Cerys

Fulgora's moon of puzzles. Ancient wrecks embedded in thick ice can seemingly be repaired, including a colossal nuclear reactor that could transform the possibilities on the surface... if you can get it working. Cerys is a complete and polished mod that does not modify the vanilla game in any way, so is easy to include in existing saves.

g Not really compatible with Bob's Mods + one other bug

If Bob mods are active while playing with Cerys, it is actually impossible to progress or unnecessarily hard.

1 Chemical Plants cannot be made due to Bob's Version requiring Glass, while if you have Bob's Power installed you can scrap the limited Solar Panels given to you to get glass, it is of course extremely limited due to the number of ruins on the map that give you solar panels. https://imgur.com/eljpqBv

Possible Solution : Chemical Plants drop at a very low rate from nuclear scrap

2 Bob's Logistics makes it so you can't make tunnels here due to the lack of stone on Cerys, making belt routing super spaghetti. Minor issue but can be worked around https://imgur.com/OVMvsGL

2-1 Bob's Belts are not affected by freezing temperatures on Cerys, this may not be fixable from your end though. You can cheese the heating portion of this mod with them. https://imgur.com/9LqL4Ke

Possible Solution #2 : Trace amounts of Stone from Nuclear Scrap or a specific recipe from Nitrogen Rich Minerals to extract only stone.
Possible Solution #2-1 : If Possible from your end, allow Bob's belts to freeze.

3 Fulgoran Crusher is bugged for some reason and doesn't allow anything apart from Lunar Regolith crushing from Mulana mod. I can't tell why this is the case but the Crusher should be able to crush asteroids that you shoot down. https://imgur.com/yIXCNTi Might be a mod conflict.

I think that's all, its fair if you don't want to worry about these, but this is just what I've noticed that appear to be significant issues. I've been able to get around all of these by using a mod that disabled the cargo drop restriction (so i can just drop what I want) but I figured i should post these just incase they're actually fixable.

I’ll add some incompatibility marks for now, this mod seems unlikely to add compatibility patches for Bob’s within the mod itself.

If you find out which mod subset causes issue 3, please let me know and we can probably insert a patch.

I found out which one is affected for 3. It was Automated Crushers. I've since deactivated the mod and the crushers now function normally. (wasn't using them anyway)

Unfortunate to find out that Bob's will unable to be supported. I will be unable to update Cerys mod on my marathon save from now on. I figured i'd report the issues anyway, as a few planet mods are trying to become compatible with Bob (recent one being Rubia, which is fully compatible now)

For issue #1, the incompatibility only happens if the Bob's Metals, Chemical and Intermediates mod is enabled. If that one is not active then there's no problem making Chemical Plants as the recipe is the same as vanilla.

For #2, there are plenty of ways to work around that using a space platform, so not a blocker.

For #2-1, isn't that only for basic belts (and other non-vanilla tiers)? If so, don't use them. Being able to cheese is not a reason to add incompatibility.

Kindly please remove incompatibility with bobassembly and bobpower, as those are compatible, and add bobplates instead.

Thanks!

Thanks for the note on #1.

On #2, if you are not aware Cerys limits cargo drops for much of the gameplay, and being unable to craft undergrounds for that time is a dealbreaker.

I could add a Cerys-specific recipe but getting into AngelBobs compatibility patches is not a project I would like to undertake at this time. That said, a third party compatibility mod could be developed and I could instead block Cerys loading with Bobs if it is not installed.

The incompatibility marks have been adjusted to bobplates and boblogistics.

can you please explain the compatibility patches that are being inserted for the bob mods?

I've removed Cerys from my save file for the time being, but I am eager to re-add it if its going to become compatible.

KiwiHawk says they decided to remove stone from the undergrounds recipe if Cerys is installed (and also to let belts freeze).

The missing piece is glass, but we can insert a patch in Cerys for this. I would be grateful if Bob’s players can suggest an appropriate item&percentage for scrap recycling.

Seeing as how its only really needed for the base level chem plant, a very low percentage (& number) is really all that's required to get initial chem plants up and running. Basically by the time you probably need to build higher level chem plants that are available in Bob's Assemblers mod, you can probably drop them from orbit.

You could even make it so if Bob mods are installed, Glass is salvaged from the ruins that lie around Cerys. Enough to build say like 50~ Chemical Plants. This is probably a gross oversupply, but its supply nevertheless.

The funny thing is, due to the random selection of nuclear junk that drops from the nuclear scrap, a lot of bob materials are natural available on the Planet anyway. Turbines for example require Cobalt from the mod, however Turbines drop freely on Cerys so Cobalt is readily available in large quantities.

There is a very odd compatibility issue I have noticed where Bob's Centrifuge 2 and 3 (upgrades to the normal centrifuge, which are easy to craft on the planet) cannot re-process the spent nuclear fuel from the reactor, however the base Centrifuge can.

I also noticed another issue where the magnetic particles were not changing the uranium 238 on belts into Plutonium (cerys) the particles would impact the uranium but nothing would change. I wasn't able to pinpoint what mod was causing this issue but I have suspicions it was either A. Bob (since it has its own plutonium) or B. Shattered Planet, which also adds its own Plutonium. It worked initially with Shattered Planet installed, however after an update, it didn't work anymore, so I have my suspicions it might be the cause.
