I think it would be great and really rewarding to have the radiative tower emit temperature from the reactor but only if the reactor is at max temperature.

Do you mean that nearby radiative towers will heat up if the reactor is fully heated?

I think OP meant that the reactor should radiate heat itself... it is 2k degrees, so I was a bit surprised that it didnt melt the snow around it when it reached max temp. It feels incongruent with the theme here, but I also could just not understand the scientific difference between radiative heat and whatever nuclear does

Radiative towers heat by emitting radiation rather than by contact. That's why they heat at longer range than the reactor, especially because there's no air.

hey sorry a bit late to the party thanks for answering !, but I meant the tower around the map when the reactor reaches max temp could work without consuming fuel as in no need to refuel them if the reactor is powered and fully charged :)

That would tempt players into removing the fuel supply to towers, which would mean everything freezes if the plutonium supply chain breaks.
