Cerys

Fulgora's moon of puzzles. Ancient wrecks embedded in thick ice can seemingly be repaired, including a colossal nuclear reactor that could transform the possibilities on the surface... if you can get it working. Cerys is a complete and polished mod that does not modify the vanilla game in any way, so is easy to include in existing saves.

g Completed the technology Cery cargo pod with Hardcore mods

This mod is indeed very difficult, so I got the blue and green chests through some other mods.
It took me 14 hours, from arriving on Cery with nothing in my hands to completing the cargo pod technology.
The narrow range of the heat radiation towers, the extremely fast consumption of the large nuclear reactors—everything is a challenge, but it's really surprising.
The electromagnetic towers are used to induce the protons brought by the solar wind to gather together, promoting the capture of free neutrons by uranium-238 to transform into plutonium-239
The raw materials for the lubricant production line are provided by shooting down carbonaceous asteroids floating above the planet.
It’s full of brilliant ideas everywhere. I really love this mod.

By the way, as an aside,
I'm playing the Hardcore mod series together with the Muluna, Moon of Nauvis mod.
Recently, the author of Muluna, Moon of Nauvis, added a new restriction to the science packs in the game. They can only be crafted on planetary surfaces with an oxygen content greater than 1%. However, the surface of Cery has an oxygen content of 0%.
I completed the game process on Cery by commenting out the code in Muluna that added the surface oxygen content restriction to the science packs.
Otherwise, it would be impossible to manufacture the necessary science bottles on the surface of Cery, and the game process would be blocked. Do you have any solutions?

It's unimaginable how difficult it would be to complete the tech tree on Cery in hardcore mode without using the blue and green chests. XD

I'm glad you had an interesting time on Cerys!

I've reinserted the compatibility code in Cerys to prevents Muluna adding an oxygen restriction to science packs. I thought this was no longer the case, so I removed it earlier this week. It may make them craftable on space platforms too, so I'll speak with the Muluna dev about what to do in future.

It sounds like you're using the Hardcore Cerys mod as well. I haven't had any other player feedback on that mod yet.

So it was you who removed the oxygen restriction code. I thought it was a new limitation recently added by the author of Muluna.

Is it really that few people have given you feedback on such an enjoyable mod series like Hardcore? I’ve already completed the development of Fulgora, Gleba, and Volcanara.
So far, I haven't encountered any issues that affect the gameplay process.

Yep I've received lots of feedback about the Hardcore series, but none yet about the optional mod Hardcore Cerys.

You mentioned "narrow range of the radiation towers" so I thought maybe you were using it?

But to be honest, not being able to use the blue chests on Cery is really frustrating. The difficulty has exceeded my capabilities.

Yes, I've enabled all the mods involving planets in the Hardcore series. The iron rusting is just too difficult. I didn't use that mod.

Even without Hardcore, it's not possible to use logistic robots on Cerys until you can make lubricant. I expected to get more negative feedback on this point that I got.

I think the necessity of producing lubricant on Cerys is a very distinctive feature.
This aspect is full of fun and has a moderate level of difficulty.

I'm playing and live-streaming on Bili, a live-streaming platform in our country. The purpose is to introduce the Hardcore mod series to players like us who are passionate about Factorio.
Three or four viewers who have played on Cerys have told me that they find the part involving lubricant really fun.

But there are also one or two people who said that the entire process on Cerys is very difficult :D

Yep, that restriction is important to make the puzzle gameplay coherent. Similar to restricting cargo drops.

Thanks for letting me know about streams on Bili, I might take a look.

By the way, I am looking for someone to update the Chinese localization file for the mod, if you or any of your viewers are interested.

Sorry Roc, I didn't see your message until I logged in today.

In the Chinese mod translation section, there's an exceptional mod author. His translation work is of high quality. For the parts he's responsible for, all text is carefully translated in line with the game's content. He doesn't rely on machine translation and never takes a casual approach.

If there's a need for assistance in updating the Chinese localization content, you can contact this author.

This link is to the author's profile page on the mod platform.
