Cerys

Fulgora's moon of puzzles. Ancient wrecks embedded in thick ice can seemingly be repaired, including a colossal nuclear reactor that could transform the possibilities on the surface... if you can get it working. Cerys is a complete and polished mod that does not modify the vanilla game in any way, so is easy to include in existing saves.

g Charging Rod Mechanics?

I'm still going through my playthrough and first off, this is my favorite mod for Space Age so far.

The main thing that I find really unclear is charging rods. The hints are good enough for figuring out plutonium production is caused by solar wind and its influenced by charging rods, but I'm still unclear about negative vs positive mode. I would assume that one attract and the other repels and it seems like different particles are attracted by positive while the other is negative but it doesn't seem clear. I also wonder if there charging rods have positive and negative side like a magnetic dipole and if that is the case, does the setting change the direction of the dipole?

Also charging rod don't seem to keep settings during copy and paste and reverts to positive.

Can I ask which version of Cerys you are using?

When charged, positive rods attract solar wind and negative rods repel it.

I'm playing 0.5.10, but updating now.

Thanks for the info, I figured I was starting to over complicate it.

With regards to copy/paste of entities (not settings) between two preexisting charging rods not causing a settings update, that bugfix is dependent on this base game feature request: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=125408&p=656677
