The official Expensive Mode from Factorio 1.1. If Space Age is installed, certain Space Age recipes are made more expensive following the same philosophy as the original game. Expensive crafting means more ore used and pollution generated, so you may wish to adjust map settings accordingly.

Removes space platforms from the game. Rockets fire cargo pods directly at other planets. Cargo landing pads possess one logistic requesting group per planet, so a simplified space logistics proceeds like normal. Note that the orange ‘on the way’ coloration on requests is delayed until the cargo pod has finished ascending from the fulfilling surface.

Inverts Quality into a new system, Degradation. Mined and smelted items start at Nominal degradation. Each crafted item has a 80% chance to become more degraded. Three new entities are provided: Downgrade Port allows low-degradation items to be used in high-degradation recipes; Meltdown Facility allows the melting down of highly degraded items back into undegraded base materials; and a Burner Assembling Machine to avoid a softlock in the early-game.
