I can't seem to get Sap since the latest update: 1.7.2
For seaweed, I could put it in as a module to produce seaweed, but Sap does not take sap or sap-seed as a module...

Also, not sure where to get the initial samples, per the popup. When I click on the "Py" help thing, I only get fuel values...

EDIT: Okay, I figured it out. :)
You first need to grow a Sap tree and then plat that in the sap extractor.
I do think the sap-seed drop chance is a little low... not getting any seeds :)

you need sap trees. there should be a recipe to make them from seeds. and yes there are going to be more details in the py help thing soonish

I have opposite problem. Too many seeds. Boxes full of them.

I found a conflict with Bio Industries and that's why I was not getting any Sap... :(
After a dirty fix, I agree that there is way to much sap!

We've already turned it down a good bit.
