I've been asked to check out your mod in the future, but I can see it's still in development, so I'm curious if it would be better to wait or if you feel there's enough to show off now?
I know that sometimes a big update is just around the corner and I would not mind waiting to check it out :)

i just wanna say, thank you for even considering my mod :]

and honestly? as much as i’d love to have one of these for PM now, im gonna have to say to wait for the next major content update - its adding a lot more stuff to existing content, and is making major improvements to a lot of graphics (like ores, plates, buildings, intermediates, etc etc)
however, i will message on here (or if somewhere else is easier for you, there) when the update is out - if thats all good with you?

That is perfect! I have a lot of videos planned already and a playthrough takes time to get a good feel for a mod. Would it make sense for me to start playing the mod now, or does the update change too many things?

If you want write here, I'll probably keep an eye on the mod anyway - otherwise swtorandmore at gmail.com is the business mail attached to my channel, incase I miss it, but I try to visit the mod portal at least once a week :D

The update is defintely changing a couple things (the most notable one being moving aluminium from the first science to the third, and making it a longer process - however since aluminium is useless until the third science, it doesnt "matter") - but you could 100% play a run right now and be able to use your save for when 0.6.500 drops :]

quick update - i now have plans to change the early game a little more then i originally intended; you can still defintely play a pre 0.6.500 save and continue when the update drops, but your iron/copper/nickel/zinc leeching recipes might get a little borked

its still up to you if you want to play, but just a heads up :]

Thank you for the heads up! I think I overestimated how much time I had. I'm still playing through the last "Aquilo" adjacent planets, so hopefully it'll line up perfectly with the release of your 0.6.500 :D

oh i feel that, im currently juggling "being a human", working on a game under a college deadline, working on PM itself and having to dedicate half my college time to modelling for PM, and game dev lmao

i dont have a set in stone release date for 0.6.500, but i expect it to take another month or two - but if i do get a more concrete deadline, i'll be sure to mention it :]

I know it's a cliché but remember to take care of yourself! I know how it feels to burn out. And I am ever grateful I found this little niche I have a passion project.

That's sounds perfect! How long / many hours do you reckon gives a good insight into your mod, or how many hours it takes to complete? And if you have time for it, I would love to sit down for an hour with you and talk about the thoughts and reasonings behind the mod, what changes and how you've chosen to implement it? It would give a truly unique insight in mod creation and hopefully fit into what my viewers wants to see (and I am curious myself.. :D)

and good question, im still not entirely sure myself - from estimates given from people for a finishing time? anywhere from 100-300 hours, but it entirely depends on your expirence and playstyle (for example, i have someone entering the mid-game before the 40 hour mark and someone who is finished with all PM-features after 150-ish hours lmao) - when PM hits 1.0 though and is feature complete, i would expect it to be around the 100+ mark.
to get a good insight of the mod however, i'd say play up until P-TM (light blue) + RNM (green)? i couldnt give a exact amount of time, but you could probably reach this within 40-50 hours

and i'd love too! im up to that completely, and would be more then happy to go indepth with any questions you have; i have a monument of mentally-connected ideas, thoughts and features still needing to be added. If you have the ability too, i would recommend joining the discord server, as it has almost every random brain dump or idea i've ever had for PM!
im totally free on mondays and fridays, and free on tues/wed/thursday later in the day, if that helps at all :D
