Only Gleba

All of the scans were wrong. Nauvis isn't what we expected it to be. Vulcanus, Aquilo and Fulgora are all gone. There's Only Gleba.

This has been a really fun mod, thank you for making it. I've begun steaming pentapod eggs and cooking biter and pentapods together to make ammonia and flourine, I have a stable artillery perimeter, and enemies have been rendered irrelevant, so I will probably be finishing this mod soon. And I'm looking for my next experience.

Have you considered doing an Only Fulgora mod? Add biters to Fulgora, tweak a few things, keep your Vulcanus and Aquilo remnants, maybe figure a few new things out. I think it would be pretty cool to have a similar experience as Only Gleba but founded upon Fulgora mechanics instead.

Anyway, thanks again for the great mod.

Hi there,

Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated. Funnily enough I had been thinking about this again recently, so it's definitely a possibility. The real question is how to handle biters/pentapods. Only Nauvis removes pentapods completely, they become an item collectable in space similar to Tungsten in Only Gleba. I don't actually like my solution there, but have yet to spend more time thinking it through.
Plus there's the pollution generation from recyclers - in vanilla space age is rarely a problem, but in this case it certainly could be. It's an interesting one to think about, but no set in stone plans (yet)
Thanks

Since I posted the original posted I've been thinking about some of those questions as well. I do think there should be enemy pressure, so either biter nests or pentapod nests should spawn in the wild if possible. For the other, maybe infested asteroids (perhaps at Gleba Remnants) that spoil into pentapod eggs. Or your 50/50 biter/penta nest solution, I don't know. I thought that maybe seeds and soil could be collected from special "big rocks" to kickstart the farming process, and either spawn farmable biomes on some of the Fulgora island types or have soil be able to fill in Fulgora ground tiles, though I don't really like that idea. Too easy. Maybe have soil fill in deep oil? And bring foundation in a little earlier in the tech tree to accommodate earlier island connectivity? Though I suspect engine limitations with agri tower preview would preempt using deep oil or regular Fulgora ground tiles for that.

Seems like there would need to be a few more adjustments. A source of carbon for coal synth (maybe switch the solid fuel scrap result to carbon or something) especially.

Anyway, it could be interesting to see what you come up with if you do decide to take it on. No pressure, though. Thanks again for Only Gleba.
