Hey,
I love the mod and I played through it until I had most things at legendary quality.
Here is some feedback that I could give:
- The asteroid density on the vulcanus route is way overtuned. I feel like it's kind of a noob-trap because small ships cannot really handle the amount of ammo/dps you need to have to even just fly in 1-2 kilometers and turn back safely - and definitely not automatically. I did use tesla turrets after a few iterations, but again, not something that you can afford on your first spaceship. I had to eventually research some good gun turret damage until I could safely automate flying in a little bit and then turning back. I would recommend cutting the number of tungsten asteroids in at least half or more, and making the crusher recipe better to compensate.
- Stone is crazy annoying without Vulcanus or Nauvis. I did end up installing other mods that allow some gleba stone production from bioflux, but obviously that's kind of a bandaid fix. I would recommend either:
-- Applying the same kind of "growing ore patches" like nauvis has, where ore patches are larger the further you go from the center
-- Or having stone be a byproduct of the lithium asteroid chunk crushing, which would also remove the weird feeling where the easier route (vulcanus) has the somewhat more complicated crusher recipe due to producing both coal and tungsten at the same time, but then the harder route (aquilo) actually feels less complex
- And this might just due to my map generation settings but scrap was scattered way too hard but half of it was <1M and the other half was >20M. I get that this matches how Fulgora does it, but on Fulgora it makes more sense as the size of the patches are tied to the size of the islands they are on. Here there are no islands so it just makes it cluttered on the map. I would actually recommend removing the small and medium patches and leaving only the >20M patches ( that on Fulgora would be the patches that are on the smallest islands ) to help with visual clarity and easier planning, as I had to train myself to ignore those on my map. Bonus if you could make them obey the same rules as stone patches have where they only spawn on "highgrounds" but not on the swamps, to give it a more Gleba feeling
Thanks!
