Only Gleba

All of the scans were wrong. Nauvis isn't what we expected it to be. Vulcanus, Aquilo and Fulgora are all gone. There's Only Gleba.

g Separate EM Plant research from EM Processing?

Set up my scrap recycling last night and was going to make a few EM plants to help with module construction. I was able to make 50 holmium plates, but to unlock EM Plants I need to also have Advanced Oil Processing unlocked. The EM plant itself does not require any oil, but the other three ingredients unlocked (superconductor, supercapacitor, electrolyte) of course do. At the moment I'm planning on just unlocking Thrusters ==> Advanced Asteroid Processing, obtain a single piece of calcite from my Gleba space station, then unlock Advanced Oil Processing.

Hi there,

It's a fair point, thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure it's worth the effort to change however - calcite is a gate to a lot of useful tech and recipes, I think it's suitable that this is further encouragement to progress in that direction. If I were to go down this route, I probably wouldn't add an extra tech, but have EM Plant as only requiring Holmium Processing as a prerequisite, and moving Superconductors, Supercapacitors and Electrolyte recipes to unlock with the EM Science Pack. Then change the unlock trigger for the EM Science pack to be to craft an EM Plant or something.
That would work without any additional techs (which is my preference, to avoid the artwork :) ) - but still not 100% convinced it's going to make all that much difference to a playthrough. It would keep things more flexible, which is a positive, but not exactly for long... I'll think about it some more.

Thanks
Jack

Hi there,

I've decided I'm not going to do this. It's not really worth the additional time/overhead for something so minor (and one more thing which might need a compatibility fix if another mod gets involved)
Thanks
Jack
