Planet Linox

by Xeon257

Linox is an extraordinarily destructive world, even closer to the sun than Vulcanus. Solar coronal ejections and flares reach all the way down to the surface, obliterating everything in their path, while the sun’s immense gravitational forces relentlessly twist and deform the entire planet, creating an extreme and hostile environment. Is there really anything left on such a world that could still be worth extracting?

i Steamless water production

I've had a lot of fun with this mod so far and am currently working on maxing the productivity bonuses for the planet specific buildings, but am running into a constant bottleneck with water. Machine speed would be enough to process the needed water, but because of the fluid flow limits in and out of machines they simply cannot input or output enough steam for the steam condensation recipe to keep up.

Would it be possible to add an alternate recipe for water that is perhaps less efficient in terms of raw ingredients but doesn't use the 1000:90 fluid ratio to produce the that steam condensation does? The water requirements for a lot of the recipes are quite high and under ideal circumstances a chemical plant can only produce ~720 water per second because of the fluid flow limitation.

My workaround for this issue is to have one of the production platforms constantly produce water and store excess in barrels, but even while doing that, my designs are constantly constrained by water production and unlike nearly every other part of the production chain utilizing beacons, speed modules, and quality hits this hard cap very quickly.

As for a specific idea - maybe there could be a "supercooled acid neutralization recipe" using a cryogenic plant that converts sulfuric acid and calcite directly into water?

Anyways, I'll just say again that I've really enjoyed this mod. The challenges on Linox are very unique and it was my first time playing with the recursive blueprints mod and thanks to the starter set up, I was able to (mostly) wrap my head around how it works.
