i Catalog quests progress

I know, that everybody plays in different way, but i wanna take some notes of my expirience till now.

I have just fininshed "catalog obsession" quest (33 hours in game).
Catalog obsession has red stars in icon.

But currently i have not even reached the first gold star (as of my understanding, to get the first gold star, i need to visit Fulgora and get research to be able to electrify enemies. And this is a way too far for gold stars, in my opinion)
And "catalog obsession" gives me items for a lot of energy. Currently i am using only 6 MW.
So in my opinion i have reached "catalog obsession" too early.

For "Catalog Completionist" i need just to update items 290 times.
There are 189 items already on Nauvis. so for gold + red update i would get 378 updates. And i don't even have everything in silver.
For "Completionist" i would expect to have every item be updated to red.

(Currently still on nauvis, so don't have a full picture of the mod)

The intended progression is bronze on Nauvis (silver if you're focusing it), gold on the next few planets, red star post-Aquilo. Looks like I need to raise the productivity requirements again. I will not be raising the quest requirements for catalog "total rank" requirements because I will not put the expectation on the player to rank up every single item in the catalog to the same rank before moving on. That to me would be terrible design.

And the power plant rewards are there for anyone who's actually building a factory. That's the way that I play, but I understand that almost no one is playing it the way I'd play it. That's fine. You don't have to use the rewards. You can sell the items once you unlock epic quality.
