WELCOME TO TERRA NAUVIS. ENJOY YOUR STAY.

Terra Nauvis! is a multiplayer overhaul focused on diplomacy and trade economics. It's set in a topologically grounded ecosystem where all Space Age biomes, enemies and resources share one planet. Terra Nauvis! is designed for long playthroughs where players can come and go and play at their own pace over an extended period of time. As such, Terra adds several extra challenges that extend the early game and add hurdles where previously there were none. For details about hard-mode features, see the Challenge section. In addition, recipes, resources, intermediates, technologies, weapons, turrets, and walls have been added to extend the length of the game.

1: Diplomacy
Terra Nauvis! is a trade and diplomacy focused game that forces interactions between teams and players.
- You will choose and receive a spawn location within +/-10,000 tiles of the origin (0,0).
- If you started your own team, you may invite other players, leave your team open for any new player to join, or close your team to new players.
- Your team has Territory; you must expand your territory (by building near the edges of your existing Territory, or building flags or outposts) in order to keep building.
- While PVP is not the primary focus of the game, it is possible on Terra Nauvis. You can change your disposition towards other teams, go to war, or build relations to establish trade agreements and defensive pacts.

2: Economy
- You will have all required resources to begin the game, but are not guaranteed nearby access to all resources. There are many you will have to trade for or buy.
- The currency is FLUX; it comes in 6 denominations; each denomination is 1,000,000x the last. You can earn and spend FLUX using a Supply Depot. The Supply Depot accepts both manual and automated input.
- The value of goods will fluctuate based on what has actually been bought and sold from Supply Depots across the map over the course of the game.
- Trade routes between players are possible. Establish a Contract in the Economy screen; then build a rail, cargo ship line, or assign disposable drones to the other player's Customs Warehouse. The customs warehouse transfers items from one player's delivery vehicle the other and takes 10 seconds. Ledgering (receiving of goods and accounting) is handled automatically.
- NPC outposts with their own Customs Warehouses will spawn randomly as you explore. These NPCs offer 3-5x the FLUX for randomly selected goods.

3: Challenges
- Most buildings require foundations of at least stone-brick in order to place them.
- Early progression is significantly more complex than vanilla. Wood and Glass are required loops and will be needed throughout the game. Fluid mechanics (in the form of molten ore) are a gameplay element from the start of the game.
- Offshore pumps require electricity (except the Mysterious Pump you start the game with).
- Glass bottles are required for all science, and some types of science require an upgraded type of glass called Void Glass.
- Military science has an expiration; upon expiring it will explode whether it is in a chest, on a belt, or being passed between labs.
- Flammable fluids (like oil products) will catch fire and explode if their container is shot at or otherwise exposed to flame.
- Radar is nerfed: partly for performance, there are a number of nerfs to radar to keep the game running smooth. Additionally, the map view is locked at the beginning of the game.
- No access to map view until Radar
- Radar is locked behind Advanced Circuits
- Radar covers a smaller area than normal
- Radar costs more electricity and crafting materials than normal
- Radioactive material damages the player and must be contained using special walls and containers.
- Dumping into lava and space is disabled.
- Armor (not inventory contents) is destroyed on death.
